This mod is modified with full permission from the original author. Original mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3409663240 This version mainly fixes the performance problems of the original mod. The biggest sources of unnecessary background scanning and task leaks have been fixed, along with several smaller cleanup issues. It should cause much less unnecessary lag now. I also added a few configuration options: - Hunger: 125 (default) / 300 - Milk Bath Pigeon +300% damage taken: On by default - Milk Bath Pigeon +100% max health: On by default Both Milk Bath effects can be disabled separately. A stationary sci-fi hibernation pod that stores one character body and lets you swap between bodies, inspired by WX-78's Backup Chassis. Build the Character Swap Pod, activate it with a vanilla Moon Rock Idol, then step in and pick another character. Your old body stays in the pod; use the pod again to swap back. Repeat as often as you like. The swap itself is handed to Don't Starve Together's own seamless player swap -- the same machinery the Wonkey curse uses -- so your inventory, equipment, health, hunger, sanity, map, crafting knowledge and position all come with you. Nothing is duplicated and nothing is dropped. Hammering an occupied pod is allowed: the stored body is first turned into a persistent Released Body on the ground, and only then is the pod destroyed. If the body cannot be released, the hammer blow is cancelled and the pod stays intact. You can swap with a Released Body exactly like you would with the pod. All clients need this mod. Works on listen servers and dedicated servers.

The goal of this mod is to give new suitable alternatives in survival , maybe even slightly changing the meta. New INVENTORY items - White gem : A new gem all about ghosts that can be attuned into a different gem using magic! It is related to the moon. Can be found in many ways gems can be found. - Lucky charm : A trinket crafted with a Science Machine , a Bunny Puff and Gold Nuggets. When in the inventory , it'll provide lots of luck. - Unlucky charm : A trinket crafted with a Science Machine , Stingers and Gold Nuggets. When in the inventory , it'll provide lots of bad luck. New HANDSLOT items - Swiss Knife : A very sciencey tool craftable on an Alchemy Engine , with Boards , lots of Flint and Rope. It can be used to chop , mine , dig and hammer. - Lavish Hammer : A fancy hammer that has quadruple the durability. Crafted on an Alchemy Engine with Gold Nuggets , Twigs and Rope. - Bulb On A Stick : A questionable way of avoiding Charlie. Perishable , can't light up things , lower light radius , but placeable on the ground to get light! Crafted on the go with Lightbulbs and Twigs. - Wooden Bat : Spear damage on the go , with lower durability. Deals much higher damage on hounds. Crafted on the go with Logs and Twigs. - Living Mace : An upgrade to the Wooden Bat , crated with the Shadow Manipulator. It deals much more damage and has a chance of spawning roots that will take aggro and hurt your opponent. Crafted with a Wooden Bat , Living Logs and Tentacle Spots. - Towel : A weak weapon with high durability that removes 3 wetness from you on each hit , and also giving 3 wetness to the enemy you hit. Crafted on an Alchemy Engine with Papyrus. - Bone Spear : A powerful weapon that stabs like the Fencing Sword but deals great damage. Increased range. Crafted on an Alchemy Engine with Bone Shards , Twigs and Ropes. - Marrow Rod : An upgrade to the Fishing Rod that catches fish much faster and has more durability. Crafted on an Alchemy Engine with Bone Shards , Cut Reeds and Silk. - Zippy Boomerang : An upgrade to the Boomerang that flies much faster , but deals much more damage and has more durability. Crafted on an Alchemy Engine with Marble and Pigskin. - Red Machete : A neat weapon that has a chance to spawn fire , restores health when you hit things , and has just enough increased range to not get burnt by the fire you caused. Crafted on a Shadow Manipulator with Red Gems , Living Logs and Cut Reeds. - Blue Machete : A neat weapon that cools down enemies more and more on hit till they freeze. Increased range. Crafted on a Shadow Manipulator with Blue Gems , Living Logs and Cut Reeds. - Purple Khopesh : A neat weapon that spawns spikes that deal AOE damage. Crafted on a Shadow Manipulator with Purple Gems , Living Logs and Cut Reeds. - Ecto Staff : A neat staff that has 3 uses. When used , will spawn a tamed , spider spirit that will slowly die over time. Is really powerful , can't be trapped , phases through obstacles , produces light and is overall really fast. Crafted on a Shadow Manipulator with White Gems , Living Logs and Nightmare Fuel. - Cutlarge : An upgrade to the Cutless that deals more damage , and has 50% chance of dealing double damage. Can be crafted at an Alchemy Engine with Moonrocks , Palmcone Scales and a Cutless. - Cross Bones : A lobbed weapon similar to the Seedshell , but slightly weaker. Can be crafted at an Alchemy Engine with Bone Shards and Cut Grass. New BODY/HAT items - Mosquito Suit : An armor with 70% damage reduction that regens your health slowly over time. Can be crafted at an Alchemy Engine with Mosquito Sacks , Silk and Rope. - Feathered Suit : An armor with 80% damage reduction that gives you a little speed boost and 65% waterproofness when worn. Is quite durabilty and can be crafted at an Alchemy Engine with Malbatross Feathers , Beefalo Wool and a Log Suit. - Ecto Amulet : An amulet with a very low durability of 19 seconds. Immediatly takes off 2 secs of durability when equipped. While wearing the amulet , you turn into a ghost version of yourself , gain 50% speed , and become temporarily invincible. Great as a panic button. Crafted at the Shadow Manipulator with White Gems , Nightmare Fuel and Gold Nuggets. - Tentacle Bandanna : A hat with 5-day durability , that gives 40% waterproofness when worn , and gives you a damage multiplier of X1.15. Crafted at a Prestihatitator with Tentacle Spots and Bone Shards. - Lureplant Crown : A head armor with 80% damage reduction that makes you immune to being frozen. Crafted at a Prestihatitator with a Lureplant Bulb and Silk. New STRUCTURES - Potted Driftwood : A decoration with a large and powerful sanity aura. Can be burnt , best used near base spots like crockpots and crafting stations. Crafted at an Alchemy Engine with Petals and Driftwood. - Spider Figurine : A decoration with a large and (less) powerful sanity aura. Best used near base spots like crockpots and crafting stations. Crafted at a Science machine with Cut Stone and a Gold Nugget. - Snug Shelter : A neat structure immune to wildfires , that gives sanity , summer insulation and water resistance near it. It also periodically dries you. Crafted at an Alchemy Engine with Reeds , Rope and Boards. - Light Bulb Pike : A cool campfire alternative that lasts nearly a day. Can't heat you up and cook things. It's light radius will reduce over time until it decays. Crafted on the go with Light Bulbs and Twigs. - Mineral Assembler : A structure that periodically drops a few minerals like rocks , flint , nitre and gold! Is much faster when it is raining. Crafted on an Alchemy Engine with Nitre , Boards and Cut Stones. - Eternal Sun : A powerful structure that gives infinite light when placed. Crafted on a Ancient Pseudoscience Station with a Yellow Moonlens , a Yellow gem , thulecite and nightmare fuel. Precraft it if you want to put it in your base. - Revigorating Shrine : A structure that periodically regens any player nearby. Crafted on a Prestihatitator with a Red Moonlens , Moonrocks and Butterfly Wings. - Magnificating Pillar : A structure that makes plants around it grow faster (crops non-included) . Crafted on a Shadow Manipulator with a Green Moonlens , Marble and Petals.

For the rest of us who are still attached to the DST universe, but have been feeling more and more uncomfortable with every update, as we distinguish more and more clearly a certain tendency, whether you call it casualization or QOLism or infantilization or snowflake clientelism, a tendency that was initially subtle and discrete but is now in insolently taking over the entirety of DST, leaving every update a scandal, every new idea a profanation, and leaving the name of QOL a patronizing insult.
