The guides in this category take your Project Zomboid server from its first start to a fully set-up session. Setup deliberately begins without mods: first a vanilla start with a join test, then the sandbox rules, and only at the end the Workshop mods. The mod guide shows how to enter Workshop and Mod IDs and how to check their order, for example with map mods. The sandbox article walks through the panel values one by one and points out the differences between Build 41 and Build 42. Before switching to Build 42, read the migration guide: Build 41 saves do not carry over, so the switch starts with a new world.
