Halo Weapons (and More) Test Mod

Testing mod created to assist myself in learning Terraria modding. Currently, this "mod" focuses on adding in several weapons from existing franchises while retaining most of their unqiue aspects. All items are made with ten dirt tiles and have varying stats. Do not consider any of these weapons to be balanced purposefully for any point in the game; They are just experiments and practice. While there are many text files in the mod for my own help, there currently exists ten actual weapons. Melee: Gravity Hammer (No effects, just a W.I.P. sprite that swings) Bloodhound's Fang (No effects, just a downsized sprite that swings) Ranger: Missile Pod (W.I.P. sprite that fires homing rockets) Brute Shot (W.I.P. sprite that fires projectiles) Needler (W.I.P. sprite that fires homing projectiles) Plasma Rifle (W.I.P. sprite that fires projectiles) Scattershot (W.I.P. sprite that fires a 6 shot spread of projectiles that bounce and pierce) Suppressor (W.I.P. sprite that fires homing projectiles) Bloodfuel Rifle (W.I.P. sprite that fires projectiles that heal the player for a percentage of damage done) Fusion Coil (W.I.P. sprite that explodes on contact with an enemy or tile) NOTES/ISSUES: - Any weapons that should cause explosions (namely the Brute Shot and Missile Pod) have the proper particle effects, but the projectile will not actually "explode" to hit multiple targets. - While proper sounds are included for each weapon, they are not properly balanced and may include subtle background ambient noise. - No weapons currently require ammo; This is for ease of testing. - The Suppressor, Needler, and Missile Pod home onto targets in a very harsh and sudden manner. - The Gravity Hammer is not held properly. - The Needler does not have a supercombine effect. - Some weapons do not fire their projectiles from the correct positions. - The Fusion Coil spawns its dust incorrectly. WHAT'S NEXT: - Most existing issues will just require a bit more time on my end to experiment with and alter existing code, such as how the homing projectiles work and where projectiles spawn. - Some issues, such as explosions actually functioning and the supercombine effect, will require more knowledge than I currently have. These will be far off. - I still have many weapons I want to impliment, such as a melee weapon releasing a projectile, and a laser-styled weapon. Many of these will come soon. - While I'm not great at spriting, I still plan to create basic sprites for existing and future weapons/projectiles. EXTRA: - Contact me through steam or the workshop page for this mod if you have suggestions or potentially useful code you'd want to share. VERSION LIST: V. 0.12 - Changed mod name to "Halo Weapons (and More) Test Mod" to better describe the content in the mod. - Added W.I.P. sprites for all ranger weapons that are a bit more than just downsized sprites of their actual versions. - Added the throwable Fusion Coil. - Added the Bloodfuel Rifle with percentage damage-to-health lifesteal. - Scattershot no longer penetrates targets. Projectiles bounce infinitely for a short time before despawning. - Missile Pod now uses its own projectile sprite instead of the Brute Shot's projectile sprite.

Early Sand Swapping

In vanilla Terraria it is impossible to block-swap a sand block if there's another sand block above it and you don't have a pickaxe with at least 110% pickaxe power (e.g. a Cobalt Pickaxe) in your inventory. This mod removes that silly restriction so that you can always block-swap sand blocks (and also any other blocks with gravity). Building underground stuff in the desert in pre-hardmode is actually pleasant now! Developed By CatJat
