Ore Excavator (1.4.3/1.4.4 Veinminer) on Your Terraria Server

Ore Excavator is the official successor to VeinMiner and lets you mine or swap entire ore veins, walls, and other tile groups with a single click, complete with whitelist/blacklist controls and an optional ore multiplier. The developer description explicitly highlights "powerful server management configurations" and full multiplayer support, making it a solid pick for rented Terraria servers. Enable it the usual way through enabled.json; because bulk mining triggers many tile changes at once, it can briefly push more network and processing load onto the server than vanilla mining would.

Tip: Use the mod's server-side configuration options to keep mining speed and the ore multiplier consistent for every player on your server.

Plan the rollout and operation

Tune Ore Excavator to the intended progression through server-wide limits. Define allowed tiles, speed, and multiplier, then test both small and very large veins with several players. Watch tick rate, network traffic, and accidental building damage. Start conservatively and expand the allowlist only after real play tests; permissive rules can alter resource balance and constructed areas faster than a later rollback can repair them.

Before enabling it, back up the world, characters, enabled.json, and mod configuration directory, and record the tModLoader, mod, and dependency versions. Start a world copy with the full list and connect at least two matching clients. Check the core feature, saving, restarting, reconnecting, and, for content mods, world generation or progression. Agree on server-wide settings and reload them after changes in ModConfigs. Update related libraries and content mods together, while adding independent packages one at a time. Before removal, store or discard mod-owned items, NPCs, tiles, and storage structures on a copy; missing content can otherwise damage a world or character. Move to a live maintenance window only after that copy loads without errors. Keep the previous package as a rollback until several sessions have completed successfully. Publish the active list for every player so clients and server do not start with different tModLoader profiles or stale dependencies.
