Make sure you're in an open area when doing this. You'll be teleported into the demo space and given a trial version of the weapon. The trial weapon can only deal damage to dummy targets. Once you exit the space, the trial weapon will be automatically removed. ⚠️ Notes The demo space is still fairly rough around the edges, but it should be functional for now. Some weapons that require specific items to be placed inside them (e.g., Book of Entropy from the Calamity Entropy mod) may cause those items (such as bookmarks) to be lost after exiting the space. Unfortunately, this cannot be properly handled at the moment — please be cautious when testing such weapons. Blocks inside the demo space can be broken — you know what that means 😉.
