The official modpack by the Cobblemon team (7+ million downloads) bundles the Pokémon mod with all recommended companion mods for the complete official experience on Fabric.
Pokémon spawn freely in the world: catch them with Poké Balls, build your team and battle your friends — all in the familiar Minecraft look.
More than 700 Pokémon from generations 1 to 9 live in the world: catch them, train your team, relearn moves and decide for yourself when a Pokémon evolves. Battles run on the Pokémon Showdown engine — the same mechanics used in competitive Pokémon.
On top of that: a Pokédex with a scanning function, riding your Pokémon, berry farming with mutations, brewed medicine, ancient structures with fossil revival, and pastures where your Pokémon roam freely. On your own server you trade and battle with your friends in multiplayer.

We recommend at least 6 GB RAM on Minecraft 1.21.1 for the roughly 75 server mods in this pack. Boot-verified on our infrastructure.
Hundreds of Pokémon spawn in matching biomes, waiting to be caught and trained.
Challenge wild Pokémon and other players in classic turn-based battles.
Build, trade and battle together on your own server — no third-party server rules.
Maintained by the Cobblemon team: mod selection and updates come straight from the developers.
Battles use the Pokémon Showdown engine and reproduce competitive mechanics faithfully — including move relearning in the style of Legends: Arceus.
Explore the Minecraft world on the back of the Pokémon you caught — faster travel, and it looks the part.

We recommend 6 GB of RAM to get started. With lots of players, big builds or extra mods you may want more — you can upgrade RAM at any time.
Every Pokémon from generations 1 to 9 can spawn — more than 700 species have their own models, the rest appear as a placeholder doll until the Cobblemon team has modelled them.
On public Cobblemon servers you play by someone else’s rules: spawn rates, economy, resets and whitelists are set by the operator. Your own server belongs to you and your group — you decide the pack version, the rules, the backups and who joins. If you just want a quick look, a public server is fine; if you play with friends long-term, your own server is the better fit.
Self-hosting means: your own PC or root server, installing Java and Fabric, setting up the server pack, forwarding the port, handling updates and backups yourself — and the machine has to run whenever someone wants to play. Here the pack is already installed and boot-tested, backups and updates run through the panel, and the server is reachable around the clock. The world stays yours: you can download it at any time and continue elsewhere.
