Character Ban “You think you have a choice? Ha! Not anymore…” This mod lets you ban specific survivors from being chosen, permanently! When you ban a survivor, they vanish from the character selection screen like they never existed. If someone sneaks in with a forbidden survivor, the server rerolls them automatically. No skeleton spam, no free loot. Even the Random Character button respects the ban list, so there are no backdoor picks. How It Works - Configure which characters to ban in the server settings. - Banned survivors are removed from the selection menu. - Already spawned as a banned survivor? You will be rerolled safely. - Random character selection avoids banned survivors. - Event driven checks on join and respawn, no wasteful looping. - Supports both vanilla and custom mod characters. If you disable all characters, only the Random Selection is allowed by default. Why Use This? - Stop that one friend from griefing with Wortox again. - Keep your server’s theme consistent, no silly characters in serious runs. - Or roleplay a bizarre universe where half the survivors never existed. Technical Notes - Server side only. Clients do not need the mod. - Efficient: uses event hooks, not periodic polling. - Works with caves and shard servers. - Mod config changes mid game are respected, reroll happens on join or respawn. - If "Disable All" is triggered, players are forced into a random survival pool.
