Does Palworld Have Crossplay?
Yes. Since the v0.5.0 update on March 19, 2025, Palworld supports full cross-platform crossplay. Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass for PC, PlayStation 5, and Mac can play together on the same dedicated server. There is no Nintendo Switch version.
These platforms are supported in detail:
- Steam (PC)
- Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass for PC
- PlayStation 5
- Mac
The previous limitation that Xbox players could not join dedicated servers was removed with v0.5.0. If you ordered your server from game-serverhosting, it is immediately reachable for all platforms – no additional configuration required.
Step 1: Order a Server

Select Palworld as the game in the game-serverhosting order wizard and set up the desired number of players. The dedicated server runs immediately for all platforms.
Step 2: Share Connection Details
As soon as the server is ready, you will see the address and port in the dashboard.

Share the IP and port with your friends – regardless of whether they play on Steam, Xbox, PS5, or Mac.
The Most Common Cause of Failed Connections: Version Parity
Many players believe that crossplay problems are platform-related. In most cases, the real culprit is a version mismatch:
- The Palworld server is running version
0.5.1 - The Xbox client is still on
0.5.0(or vice versa) - Result: connection failed
Solution: Make sure that the server and all clients are running the same Palworld version. Updates usually appear on Steam, Xbox, and PS5 at the same time, but can be slightly delayed due to installation caches. Restarting the console or game usually updates the client immediately.
Public Visibility via COMMUNITY_SERVER
If all platforms should be able to find your server in the public Palworld community browser, enable the COMMUNITY_SERVER toggle in the panel wizard. Without this toggle, the server is only reachable via direct IP.
Summary
Since Palworld v0.5.0, Steam, Xbox, PS5, and Mac play on the same dedicated server – the platform no longer matters. If you order from game-serverhosting, crossplay is active from the first launch. Pay attention to version parity between the server and all clients if connections fail – that is the actual common cause of errors, not a platform restriction.
