What is Better MC [FORGE] BMC4?
BMC4 is the large Forge 1.20.1 edition of the Better MC series: a Vanilla+ philosophy that keeps the familiar feel intact while significantly expanding biomes, structures, mobs and dungeons.
Carefully chosen performance mods keep the server stable, so the larger scope never comes at the cost of tick rate.
The world feels denser: new biomes, dungeons and bosses give exploration a purpose again while the familiar vanilla rules stay in place — BMC4 extends the game instead of overhauling it.
That makes it ideal for groups: everyone gets into the game instantly, exploration trips and base building carry many shared evenings, and the built-in performance mods keep the tick rate stable with several players online.

Recommended setup
For the 300+ server mods we recommend at least 8 GB RAM on Minecraft 1.20.1. In our boot test the server was up after roughly 95 seconds — remarkably quick for a pack this size, boot-verified on our infrastructure.

Yes. The wizard preselects the matching loader; modpack pages also load only the verified featured pack.
Can I change version and RAM later?
Yes. Always check compatibility and create a backup before changing versions.
Do players need the modpack on their own PC?
Yes. Every player installs Better MC [FORGE] BMC4 through the CurseForge App, then connects to your server.
What is the difference to BetterMC: VanillaReborn?
VanillaReborn is the leaner NeoForge 1.21.1 variant with around 60 mods. BMC4 is the larger Forge 1.20.1 flagship of the same series, with significantly more structures, mobs and content.
Is 8 GB RAM enough?
For small to medium groups, yes. With many players or large worlds you can raise the RAM in the panel at any time.
