How much RAM does an ARK: Survival Ascended server need?
ARK: Survival Ascended (Unreal Engine 5) is very resource-intensive. 20 GB is the minimum — below that the server cannot start reliably. We recommend 24 GB for 10–20 players and 32 GB for 30+ players.
Which maps are available on an ASA server?
All official UE5 maps are available: TheIsland_WP, ScorchedEarth_WP, Aberration_WP, TheCenter_WP, and more. You can switch the map anytime in the dashboard.
Are CurseForge mods supported?
Yes, ARK: Survival Ascended uses CurseForge for mods. You can add thousands of mods by entering CurseForge mod IDs in your server configuration.
Why are the minimum requirements so high?
ASA is a complete Unreal Engine 5 remake using Nanite and Lumen — significantly more resource-intensive than ARK: Survival Evolved. Our 20 GB entry tier is calibrated exactly for this: below that, an ASA server does not start reliably. Player count, on the other hand, costs nothing extra — up to 70 players and every official map are included in every plan.
How do I get started after ordering?
After ordering, your server is provisioned within minutes. Installation takes some time due to the game file size (~25 GB via Proton/SteamCMD). You will be notified once the server is ready.
Can I run an ARK: Survival Ascended cluster with multiple maps?
Yes, ASA supports cluster servers just like ASE. Connect multiple servers via the same Cluster ID — players can transfer characters, dinos, and items between maps via obelisks. For a stable cluster we recommend at least 20 GB RAM per server instance. Configure the cluster settings in the startup variables of each individual server.
How many players and which maps are included in the price?
Up to 70 players — the official ARK: Survival Ascended server default — and every official map are included in every plan, including Astraeos and Lost Colony. You only pay for the RAM your server needs; there are no slot tiers and no map exclusions on the entry plan. You can adjust the player count yourself in the dashboard at any time.
Do I get my own subdomain?
Yes. Every server includes a subdomain like my-server.game-serverhosting.com, and you can change it anytime in the dashboard.
What are the free extras?

Is there a minimum contract term?
There is no long-term minimum. Billing is a monthly subscription and automatic renewal can be disabled. Longer terms may qualify for discounts.
Are the servers located in Germany?
Yes. All game servers run in German data centres (Falkenstein and Limburg) connected to the major German exchanges — low pings for players across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and solid latency for the rest of Europe.
