What is RLCraft?
RLCraft rebuilds Minecraft into an uncompromising survival experience: new dangerous creatures, completely reworked game mechanics and a progression that gives you nothing for free.
Around 180 mods interlock to make that happen — from thirst and temperature systems to skill levels and dragons that terrorize entire regions.
The start is brutal by design: without water, warmth and a weapon you will die a lot in the first nights — and that is exactly where the fascination comes from. Every skill level, every piece of better gear and every survived dragon attack makes progress feel earned.
On your own server you soften nothing, but you share the pain: shared bases, pooled gear and coordinated dragon hunts make RLCraft far more approachable in co-op than solo. Deaths are part of the deal — regular backups spare you the frustration.
Recommended setup
We recommend at least 6 GB RAM for the roughly 180 mods in this pack. RLCraft deliberately runs on Minecraft 1.12.2 — the official, stable base of the pack. Boot-verified through the real order path.

Frequently asked questions
Does the button use the matching configuration?
Yes. The wizard preselects the matching loader; modpack pages also load only the verified featured pack.
Can I change version and RAM later?
Yes. Always check compatibility and create a backup before changing versions.
Why does RLCraft run on an older Minecraft version?
The pack is built on Minecraft 1.12.2 and maintained by its author for that version. Newer versions are not supported by RLCraft — that is the same with every host.
How hard is RLCraft really?
Very hard. Dying often at the beginning is part of the concept. That difficulty is exactly the appeal — and starting out is easier with friends on your own server.
Do players need the modpack on their own PC?
Yes. Every player installs RLCraft through the CurseForge App, then connects to your server.
