Do I need Assetto Corsa on Steam to play?
Yes, every driver needs Assetto Corsa on Steam. The dedicated server itself runs independently and is permanently reachable, with nobody having to host the game.
How much RAM does an Assetto Corsa server need?
Assetto Corsa is lightweight. 2 GB RAM is enough for full grids on most tracks. Only very large modded tracks with many slots benefit from more.
Can I use mods (custom cars & tracks)?
Yes. Mod cars and tracks are supported — all drivers need the same mods. CSP (Custom Shaders Patch) and Sol for weather and visuals run client-side.
What is the difference between booking and pickup mode?
In pickup mode drivers can join and leave any time — ideal for open servers. In booking mode everyone reserves their slot in advance, which suits organised races and leagues.
How do my friends connect?
The easiest way is via Content Manager: your server appears in the list or can be joined via direct connect (IP:port). You get your own subdomain.
How do I set up a league or organised race event on my Assetto Corsa server?
For leagues we recommend booking mode: every driver reserves their slot in advance with name and car. Use `entry_list.ini` to define fixed starting positions and vehicles. The server result logs can then be used for championship scoring — many communities use tools like stracker or AC results APIs for this purpose.
Do I get my own subdomain?
Yes. Every server includes a subdomain like my-server.game-serverhosting.com, and you can change it anytime in the dashboard.
