A Enshrouded server costs from €9.32 per month with us (from 8 GB RAM), up to €36.38 for the largest tier. The configurator shows the exact monthly price before you pay; the subscription can be cancelled monthly. Examples: 8 GB RAM with 24 GB NVMe for €9.32; 16 GB RAM with 48 GB NVMe for €18.34; 32 GB RAM with 96 GB NVMe for €36.38.

Keen Games ships a dedicated server with the game, which you find under "Tools" in Steam; according to the official guide it currently runs on Windows only. For 4–6 players Keen recommends 16 GB RAM, a 6-core CPU and at least 30 GB of SSD storage, and a stronger 8-core CPU for up to 16 players. If your PC should not run around the clock, rent the server: with us from €9.32 per month, set up in about 5 minutes.

Enshrouded supports up to 16 players simultaneously. For full 16-player sessions we recommend 16 GB RAM. Smaller groups of up to 4 players run well on 8 GB RAM.

Yes, the game server saves automatically at configurable intervals. You can also create manual backups or configure a backup schedule in the dashboard.

A mod for the game client does not automatically work on a dedicated server. Check the supported game version, installation location, and author instructions for each mod. We do not currently offer automatic mod installation for Enshrouded.

The Shroud is the toxic fog covering large parts of the game world; the Flame, by contrast, is your ally. On a server, you venture deeper into the Shroud together — more players means more strength against the growing threat. Each player has their own Shroud timer.

Yes, you can upload your local save folder via the dashboard and continue playing on the dedicated server. The upload is done via the file manager in the dashboard.

Host-via-Steam only runs while you are online. A dedicated server runs 24/7 — your friends can play anytime even when you are offline, with better stability and performance.

Yes. Every server includes a subdomain like my-server.gs.game-serverhosting.com, and you can change it anytime in the dashboard.

For every server you enable Uptime Kuma (server monitoring) and Game Server Watcher (server status in Discord/Telegram) with one click in the dashboard at no extra cost, plus one bot such as Sinusbot (music bot for Discord/TeamSpeak). Every additional bot costs extra.

Typical initial setup: about 5 minutes. Queues or large installations can take longer. Setup creates the subdomain and DNS records automatically, and for Minecraft also accepts the EULA and installs Geyser.

There is no long-term minimum. Billing is a monthly subscription and automatic renewal can be disabled. Longer terms may qualify for discounts.

You choose the location at checkout: Germany (Falkenstein and Limburg) or France (Roubaix) — all in the EU, connected to the major European exchanges. Low pings for players across Germany, Austria and Switzerland at both locations, and solid latency for the rest of Europe.

Self-hosting costs power, time and a machine that runs around the clock; port forwarding, updates and backups are on you. A rented server is online within minutes, keeps running when your PC is off, and updates and backups are included; data-center DDoS protection is included at every location. For one or two friends on a single evening self-hosting is often fine — for a persistent world, renting pays off.

Yes, you can do it yourself in the customer area using a slider. An upgrade takes effect immediately: you only pay the prorated difference for the remaining term, and the new price applies from the next renewal. A downgrade takes effect on the next renewal date. Your world, settings and subdomain are kept, and depending on the game, a restart is required afterwards. With monthly payment and a minimum term, the change is only possible once that term has ended, and for games with a slot-based plan it is not available.
