What is Cursed Walking?
Cursed Walking focuses on classic, Walking-Dead-style zombie survival: stray undead form into organized hordes at night, which you fend off with weapons, traps and a base you build yourself.
Unlike the urban tech-tree pack DeceasedCraft, Cursed Walking deliberately skips a complex progression tree — gather weapons and loot, fortify your base, survive the next horde night.
The rhythm creates the tension: loot, stock up and reinforce the base by day — at night organised hordes converge on your camp. The arsenal ranges from improvised to military, and ammunition stays precious.
Survival is easier together: guard shifts, loot runs and defence lines can be divided up in co-op — and because the pack skips complex systems, new players are in within minutes.
Under the hood Cursed Walking runs on Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge 47.4.0; we install the server pack from CurseForge (project 682001). In our test on 29 July 2026, installation, startup and a real join were done after 393 seconds.

Frequently asked questions
Does the button use the matching configuration?
Yes. The wizard preselects the matching loader; modpack pages also load only the verified featured pack.
Can I change version and RAM later?
Yes. Always check compatibility and create a backup before changing versions.
Do players need the modpack on their own PC?
Yes. Every player installs Cursed Walking through the CurseForge App, then connects to your server.
How is this different from DeceasedCraft?
DeceasedCraft is an urban zombie pack with its own tech progression tree. Cursed Walking instead focuses on classic, Walking-Dead-style horde survival without a complex tech tree — weapons, loot and base building take center stage.
Is 8 GB RAM enough?
For smaller groups, yes. With many players or large base builds you can raise the RAM in the panel at any time.
