Bedrock crossplay is available for supported Paper and Bukkit servers when Geyser and Floodgate are enabled and configured for that server. Java and Bedrock players can then join the same server.
This does not apply to every Minecraft server: Forge and Fabric servers are not automatically crossplay-ready. Modded setups require an explicitly supported Geyser build, compatible server and client versions, and server-side-only mods. Mods that require a client installation do not work through Geyser.
Check the requirements
- The server uses a Paper or Bukkit stack supported by our platform.
- Geyser accepts Bedrock connections on an available UDP port.
- Floodgate is enabled when Bedrock players should join without a Java account.
- Minecraft, Geyser and, where applicable, ViaVersion releases are compatible.
After setup, test one Java login and one Bedrock login. If a connection fails, check the UDP port, Geyser configuration, whitelist, authentication and supported client versions first.
