What Does This Actually Verify?

The table documents available vendor versions. It is not an approval of your plugins or mods. The earlier standalone Paper test from August 31 was only current until September 2 and has therefore been removed from the current evidence. Test your specific world, extensions, and clients yourself before switching; a successful server start alone is not enough.

Which Version Should You Use?

Vanilla can be tested directly on 26.2. For plugins or mods, the slowest dependency decides: stay on your current version until the server software and all required extensions support the target version. 26.3 has been released since September 15, but Paper (ALPHA) and NeoForge (Beta) are not yet stable — for plugin and mod servers, 26.3 doesn't belong in this production matrix yet.

  1. Create a complete backup of your world, configuration, and extensions.
