Geyser 2.11.2 build 1233 Test Java and Bedrock clients together

Which version should you run?

Vanilla can be tested directly on 26.2. For plugins or mods, the slowest required dependency decides: remain on the previous version until the server software and every mandatory extension support the target. 26.3 Snapshot 10 is a preview and is not part of this production matrix.

Safe update workflow

  1. Create a complete backup of the world, configuration and extensions.
  2. Record the current version and verify the target version for every loader, mod, plugin and client.
  3. Test on a copy first, checking startup logs, login and world loading.
  4. Only then update production, keeping the previous build and backup ready for rollback.

Frequently asked questions

Does a Paper server need Java 25?

Java 25 is the runtime baseline for Minecraft 26.2; also check the requirements of the exact Paper build.

Does Geyser make every Bedrock client compatible automatically?

No. Verify the current Geyser build and test the actual Bedrock client against your Java server.
