Minecraft 26.2: Server Compatibility Overview

Checked on September 16, 2026. Minecraft Java 26.2 is the stable server version: Java 25, Paper Build 124 (STABLE), Fabric Loader 0.19.5 with Fabric API 0.160.0+26.2, Forge 65.1.x, NeoForge 26.2.0.88, and Geyser 2.11.3 Build 1240. Minecraft 26.3 has been released since September 15, but Paper currently only offers ALPHA builds for it.

Fabric API Updates: 0.160.5 for Minecraft 26.3, 0.160.0 for 26.2

Checked on September 16, 2026. Fabric API 0.163.0+26.3 is the current build for Minecraft 26.3 (released September 15); for 26.2, 0.160.0+26.2 from September 7 remains current. There's also 0.155.3+26.1.2 for 26.1 through 26.1.2 and 0.116.17+1.21.1 for Minecraft 1.21.1.

As of: September 16, 2026. Minecraft Java Edition 26.3 "Wilderness Bound" was released on September 15. For servers, 26.2 "Chaos Cubed" remains the stable standard of this hub: Paper only has ALPHA builds for 26.3, NeoForge has a beta, and Forge has no branch at all.

Checked on September 16, 2026. For Minecraft 26.2, the official Forge page lists 65.1.3 as Latest and 65.1.0 as Recommended. For Minecraft 26.1.2, 64.1.3 Latest and 64.1.0 Recommended apply separately. For Minecraft 26.3, released on September 15, there is no Forge branch yet.
