Minecraft Bedrock Updates: 26.51 Is the Current Hotfix

Reviewed: September 22, 2026. Mojang released Bedrock 26.50 (“Wilderness Bound”) on September 15, 2026 and added hotfix 26.51 on September 15/16. Availability can vary by platform while each release completes its approval process; the matching server build is 1.26.51.1.

What does 26.50 add?

• A new “Dappled Forest” biome: an autumn forest with poplar trees in red, orange and yellow, red shrubs and shelf mushrooms
• Poplar as a complete wood type with logs, planks, stairs, slabs, doors and boats
• Stairs and slabs for all 16 wool colours and for concrete in matching colours
• Cushions as sittable furniture in 16 colours, plus straw beds made from hay bales that do not set a spawn point
• New explorer maps for abandoned camps and structures such as Ancient Cities and desert pyramids

What does 26.51 mean for a server?

Version 26.51 fixes a crash when opening specific worlds (MCPE-242312) and changes nothing else in the game. Check the version shown by the server and each client: a published rollout date does not guarantee that every platform already has the build.

Update a Bedrock server safely

Create a backup, verify the server build offered by the panel and update when the clients you use are compatible. Keep the previous build ready for rollback: a world that has been loaded once with a newer version usually cannot be opened with an older one again.
