Nitrado alternative: game-serverhosting compared
Anyone looking for a game server host often compares the pricing model and billing structure of different providers. This page compares Nitrado's publicly available rates with our own, live-calculated prices.
Comparison summary
The tables compare selected features of game-serverhosting and Nitrado. The price table contains 13 documented configurations for which a publicly accessible Nitrado price could be verified on the stated date. It is therefore a reproducible selection, not a complete market comparison. In 13 of the 13 documented configurations our live-calculated price is below the competitor price; across those rows it is on average about 55 % lower (as of 2026-08-08).
- Methodology
- Feature statements come from editorially maintained comparison data. Our prices are calculated live by the configurator without a term discount; competitor prices are manually collected from public pricing pages or documented public pricing interfaces. Only rows with a documented price and row-specific verification date are displayed.
- Limitations
- Pricing grids differ by RAM, slots and term. Where no identical tier exists, a documented next-higher selectable slot tier may be used; unverifiable values are omitted instead of estimated. The verification date applies only to price rows; features are maintained editorially, not checked in real time. Promotions and prices can change. The price regions used are disclosed separately; support quality, location performance, load and real-world game performance were not tested.

Primary sources and verification date
Every published price row links to its game-specific original source. These official Nitrado pages additionally document plan access, service features, contract terms, support and migration information:
- RAM-based prices without slot limits for Minecraft, Valheim and ARK — the configurator shows the price before purchase.
- Monthly subscription with no long-term minimum; automatic renewal can be disabled.
- GSLT token for Counter-Strike 2 and Team Fortress 2 automatically included, no own Steam account required.
- Automatic setup usually takes 1–3 minutes; large Steam installations can take longer.
Frequently asked questions
How do I switch from another host to game-serverhosting?
The migration assistant checks an existing server world along with its mods and settings before you order, and shows the matching resources and monthly price in the configurator. The actual transfer of the checked files only starts once the new game-serverhosting server has been fully provisioned, so your current server stays untouched in the meantime.
What happens to my existing game world during the switch?
The migration assistant reads the existing world together with mods, plugins and configuration files and checks them before you order. After the new server is provisioned we transfer the checked files; there is no automatic takeover directly from your previous host, you start the transfer yourself through the assistant.
How is billing handled?
Monthly subscription with no long-term minimum; automatic renewal can be disabled. The server is billed monthly, and automatic renewal can be turned off at any time in the customer area, so the subscription ends at the end of its current term instead of continuing automatically. A new server can be ordered again at any time afterwards.
How much cheaper is game-serverhosting in this comparison?
In 13 of the 13 documented configurations our live-calculated price is below the competitor price; across those rows the savings average about 55 % (as of 2026-08-08). The full breakdown by game and resource tier is in the price table further up this page.
Do I need my own GSLT token for Counter-Strike 2?
No. For Counter-Strike 2 and Team Fortress 2, a GSLT token is minted automatically when the server is created; no separate Steam account is required for it. The token can be replaced with your own at any time in the server panel if you prefer.
