Frequently asked questions

How fast is my game server online?
After successful payment, automatic provisioning begins. Each game shows its estimated setup time. Large Steam installations, downloads or game-specific setup steps can take longer. The server and its DNS subdomain are created automatically. Steps such as accepting the Minecraft EULA or installing plugins apply only when the selected game and server configuration support them.
Is there a minimum term or contract?
There is no long-term minimum. Billing is a monthly subscription; automatic renewal is enabled by default and can be disabled. Depending on the game, pricing is based on RAM or slots and is shown before purchase.
Can Bedrock players (mobile/console) join my server?
On supported Paper/Bukkit stacks, Bedrock clients can join through Geyser and Floodgate. Modloader servers are not generally compatible; consoles may need an additional connection method.
Is DDoS protection included?
Yes, at no extra cost. Every server is covered by automatic network-level DDoS protection from the data center (OVHcloud Anti-DDoS or Hetzner DDoS protection). Servers on OVH game hardware also run behind the OVH game firewall; for these servers the panel shows the current protection status.
What is the custom subdomain?
Every server gets a unique address like my-server.gs.game-serverhosting.com that you can choose yourself and change for free at any time. Java players need no port – Bedrock players use the same address with a port. Game server hosting at game-serverhosting also means you can connect your own domain – the system checks DNS automatically and shows the status live. That way your server always has an easy-to-remember address.
